Welcome to our blog!!

In this blog we will try to solve some of the doubts about EVS (What is it?, How to apply?...). Also, we are going to share our experiences and feelings as volunteers in The Czech Republic. With this blog we want to motivate those interested in doing an EVS and having unforgettable experiences in one of the EU countries.

Welcome to my blog!

I am José Luis Marcilla Cebrián and and I´m doing an EVS in Farní Charita Česká Lípa (Caritas organization) in Česká Lípa, Czech republic, till November 2016.

EVS or European Voluntary Service enables young people to do a voluntary service for up to 12 months in a country other than their country of residence. The purpose is discovering other cultures and learning new skills and languages in various areas such as culture, youth, sports…

Now, I will give you some information about myself, so you can have an idea about who I am and why I am here.

I´m 24 years old and I come from Albacete, Spain. Three years ago, I studied a Teaching degree at University of Castilla-La Mancha. After that, I changed several jobs and at the same time, I was studying a Master degree of teaching students with high intellectual capacities. Then, a friend of mine who was working in a youth organization called centro joven de Albacete gave me information about EVS and I decided to do it, because I wanted to gain experience and new knowlegdes, meet new people, country and culture.
